The foundations of the holding were laid in Gaziantep by Mehmet Altınbaş, who has been involved in agriculture since the 1950s.
In 1979, the children of Mehmet Altınbaş opened the first jewelry store in Cyprus called «Ali Vakkas Altınbaş».
In 1985, it started its trading activities in the jewelry business in Turkey.
Since 2014, «ALTINBAŞ HOLDiNG» has been working in the fields of energy, finance, logistics and education, and also continues its activities in the field of jewelry business.
In addition, the "Mehmet Altınbaş Education and Culture Foundation", named after the founder of the holding, was organized. It deals with issues in the field of education and social responsibility. In this direction, "ALTINBAŞ University" was also created.
